By Car:
Mestia is located approximately 468km from Tbilisi and 258km from Kutaisi. There are public transport (minibus) options from both places for very reasonable prices. Keep in mind that in summer the minibuses can be very hot and very crowded. We recommend booking one of our drivers to make the trip as smooth as possible. It’s also possible to rent a car and drive. 4WD is recommended for any driving outside the main road to Mestia.
By Train:
It’s possible to reach the city of Zugdidi by train from Tbilisi. From there you will need to take a minibus to Mestia (approx 3 hours).
By Air:
It’s possible to fly from Tbilisi (Natakhtari) to Mestia on a small passenger plane. Flight takes about 1hour and has a beautiful view. The ticket cost is 90GEL and there are strict limits on luggage size. Flights can be cancelled for bad weather.
